Super long overdue photos that were taken during laneway. I was lucky enough to cover the festival with Clinton under NYLON IND. We met the bands and got to interview them, I have to say The Pains of Being Pure at Heart has to be the sweetest thing ever, everything about them is so sweet and nice, like a cupcake with extra topping on top. Girls has to be the best for the day, I remember standing 5 steps away from him and see him singing his hearts out with tears flowing down. You cant lie emotion like those. For those who follow me in twitter or instagram(ncwong), you would probably know that my partner of six years has pop the question. Yeah!!!! Its a celebration, I never expected that he would ask since we are not even in our mid-twenties. But then again age is just a number. Since monday(the day he ask) countless of people have ask about what kind of wedding would I want, from the dress, venue, cake, theme, etc... Insane, I am never one who dream about my wedding and now that it is here, there is a tiny part of me that wish that I had some clue about what I want. So I decided to open an inspiration wedding blog called, omgncwongisgettingmarried. That will decrease tremendously the number of wedding post that might be happening here in the months to come. This lovely blue number that i recently got from A.P.C. has to be the perfect denim dress. Casual and smart that take me from day to night. Plus i get to wear it at work without worrying that it will be too short or uncomfortable for me to run around and get things done. 

Meanwhile things will be getting alil crazy in the next 2-3 months. Clinton and I are planning something big that we been wanting to fo for the longest time. After countless times of disappointment, we learn that as long as we stick together, we can pull it through. No matter what hit us.

Stela 9 Spring/Summer 2012

Stela 9 has officially launch their online store and i must say that i love the colours and prints of the bags. What i love best about them is that most of their items are one of a kind made by skilled artisans from all over the world. The worldly couple travels around and collect these beautiful handcrafted babys for people to love. Plus a portion of their proceeds goes directly to contribute to the sustainability of the community that these babies travel from. I am usually not one for prints but this number from A.P.C. won me over the moment I tried it on. Not only it fit me perfectly, I was surprise how well it enhance ones body even thou it looks baggy and boring on the hanger. Thats shows that no matter how well you think you know the cutting of the garment, it just might surprise you.

Dr Martens X Laneway

The wonderful people at Dr. Martens and Laneway were so kind to invite Clinton and I to the recent festival. Hello Charmaine! We cannot be grateful enough to be able to enjoy the wonderful sunday with great friends and music. Of cause the trusty Dr. Martens were the cherry on top. With their SS12, they brought back their classic with bright spring colours that will make one fall in love all over again. Brining back the #Firstandforever campaign, they showed that they stand through time and memories.

"Everyone remembers their first pair of Dr. Martens. New experiences shape us. First times define us. Single moments stay with us forever. Tell us about yours", here's mine that i posted up on my instagram(ncwong)

N: I was 18 when I got my first pair. They were black. 10 hole eyelet shoes. I immediately wore it daily even thou they bite(I worn ankle socks, which explains the bite) and I never once tied the lace. My boyfriend had an 8 eyelet and it was his first. I wanted it to be mine too. 5 years later, they are still going string and so are we. 

C: Actually I had my first when I was a small boy. Introduced by my brother who wore Dr. Martens since his teens, style last forever and passed down through generations.

N: Oh ya. I vividly remember that. Oh well, I still love to copy you.

Rainbow

If i were to choose a piece to live in till i am old and winkle, this leather baby would be my number one. I have countless number of memories in them despite having them for a mere three years. For sure it will be a staple for life.

Also i hope that you like the move. Having my very own dot com. If you ask me when i first started if i could see myself still blogging today, i would have said no. Now i understand the value of making this place my own, it has become a part of me and most importantly, it is mine.
